It was not so easy to us prepare such type of report as the following reasons was
existed.

This report is based on the Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 in case of Safety.
We don’t have sufficient knowledge about Business Law.

This is an analysis based report. An analysis on law is very difficult and it

needs sufficient time. But we do not have surplus time to make such kind of

THE BANGLADESH LABOR ACT, 2006

Definition of Labor Law

Labor Law is designed to control and govern the continuous process by which
workers and management decide the terms and conditions of employment. It is
based almost entirely on statutes passed by the parliament during last seventy
years. Labor Law regulates matters such as, labor employment, remunerations,
condition of works, trade unions and labor management relations. It also indicates
that the rules and regulations which cope with employees’ right to join trade union,
In particular, benefits of workers, conditions of level, especially maternity leave
for women workers, social security for workers, and safety for workers.

However, Labor Law is the study of a tripartite industrial relationship between

worker, employer and trade union. This involves collective bargaining regulation,
and the right to strike. Individual employment Law referred to workplace rights,
such as health and safety or minimum wage.

Objectives of the Bangladesh Labor Act,2006

The main purpose of the Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 is to consolidate and amend
the existing loss relating to labor and industrial affairs. The other objective of the
Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 are to appoint labor, to increase relationship between
labor and employers, to satisfy the lowest wages of the labor, to discourages
wages, to compensate for the ulcerating the labor, to form of the trade unions, to
regulate the relations of any differences or disputes arising between labor and

THE BANGLADESH LABOR ACT, 2006

Safety

Safety is defined as "Protection of physical health of people in the

organization and prevention of work related injuries and accidents." The safety
awareness programs are very important to industrial employees. The safety rules
need to be laid down and be enforced by every organization. Safety is primarily the
responsibility of the management. This responsibility should rest on the shoulders
of all cadres of management; such as plant managers, maintenance engineers,
supervisors, foremen and safety managers.

Safety measures prevent accidents and ensure regular flow of work. In turn,
it helps, to increase not only the workers morale but also productivity of the
organization without fear unless otherwise safe working conditions are provided.
The employer has primary responsibility to provide or arrange such type of
environment. The main causes of accidents may be Human causes like: age,
