My Best Friend

Yellow and white

Thick and furry,
Cuddly and cute
Truly a friend.
A ball of yarn
Is her favorite toy,
She meows and purrs
When hungry,
Sometimes, she can be grumpy.
Buy when she’s with me,
She’s a baby!

Let’s Play

Let’s go to the park

Let’s play and have fun!
We’ll slide and glide
We’ll jump and ride the swing

We’ll feed the birds

And watch them stroll
We’ll also ride bikes
And never fall!

Then, we’ll eat ice cream and be merry,

Don’t worry
Let’s just be happy!

Hooray for Today

Hooray, the rain has gone away today!

I don’t have to stay inside and wait.
Now I can go outside and play.

Hooray, the rain has gone away today!

My brain will relax without strain.
I will paint my play train gray.

Hooray, the rain has gone away today!

I’ll lay on the hay and soak up the sun’s rays all day!

Tomorrow, I hope the sun will shine its rays

And the rain will stay far away.

MUSINGS WITH NATURE
Melissa Jean G. Corum

I gaze at the verdant green around me,

The stillness of the lake surrounds me.
I see my reflection in the water,
Broken yet unbowed, imperfect yet determined,
For I know His spirit shall guide me.

He shows His love through the trees and flowers,

Through the majestic mountains, vales, and hilltops.
Through the sound of thunder and rainfall, and lo!
We shall never fear a fall from atop!

Whenever life brings you to a dark path,

Nature is here to make you glad.
When you are facing fate’s wrath,
Just remember God’s unending love.

LISTEN TO THY VOICE

Listen. Do you hear that?

Do you hear that voice?
That inner voice that tells you-
Do not let your heart falter.

Let us therefore not fear the night,

For we will find a way through the dark.
Our hearts shall be our constant guide;
It will show the path to the light.

Let us remember as we look at the crimson sky,

As our feet touch the sand and memories flow,
No matter where life takes us,
The sun shall rise after it sets.
