NARRATIVE REPORT
State of the Barangay Address

As part of the rights and responsibilities of the society, people should have knowledge on
how the community progress and become involved to the programs and projects that will
promote a better living.
In accordance with this, Barangay San Juan’s advocate is to promote transparency inthe
community. This lead to the realization of the SOBA or State of the Barangay Address which
was led by the Barangay Chairman, Mr. Lamberto L. Malabanan and other barangay officials.
In this gathering, the projects of the government for the previous years were stated and
the budget for these projects were announced by the secretary of the barangay. In this scene,
people can be knowledgeable on the budget of the barangay and the finish projects where this
budget can be suited.
Three teachers from San Juan Elementary School attended the SOBA. The status of the
school was announced by the Officer-in-Charge, Mrs. Joy M. Gallon.She reiterated the
successful months of the years where pupils honed their talents to make the school proud. She
also thanked the local government of Malvar for providing five million budget for the four
classroom two- storey building.
SOBA is a yearly report of the progress of the Barangay which should be continued and
supported.
