 Every country should sign the arms trade treaty which should state that there should be a ban
of illegal trade and only sell weapons legally to armed forces

As we know that the countries like UK, china and USA use the selling of the SAWL for just to increase
their economy. Maintain their army so the armies of the countries will need weapons to maintain peace
and order and also to protect themselves from the enemies attach. This shows that such countries
promote conflict for war profiteering

The countries in favor of decree

sing in the weapons number of their illegally traded situate more armed forces
to check for the illegal trade of SALW especially on the borders and known black market trade routes

The weapons are an entity to our society and can do great damage when they are sold in black market to
the citizens of the country. So this bloc wants a tight security on the borders to stop smuggling and
trafficking of SALW.

 The guns should have a tracking devise.

This bloc would want the countries making weapons and selling it legally to install a tracking
devise inside the weapons not on the weapons as it can be easily taken off. This chip should do
the work of tracking the gun location and even the number of bullet fired. IF the chips are
mishandled or tried to be removed then the weapons would stop working
The ATT will have to apply, at a minimum, the relevant provisions of the Treaty to the export,
import, transit, trans‐shipment and brokering transactions or activities involving the conventional
arms

The current at provisions are not enough to curb the illicit trade of SALW and would like to make the
ATT more rigid and strong.

 The UN requires States Parties to establish and maintain a national export control system that
ensures effective compliance with the export provisions of the ATT, including application of the
export assessment provisions of the ATT and enforcement of relevant export prohibitions and
national laws and policies.

 Encourages the international community to support the implementation of the Economic

Community of West African States Convention on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Their
Ammunition and Other Related Materials;

 Encourages the countries of the Sahel-Saharan sub region facilitate the effective functioning of
national commissions to combat the illicit proliferation of small arms and light weapons, and in
that regard invites the international community to lend its support wherever possible;
 Encourages the collaboration of civil society organizations and associations in the efforts of the
national commissions to combat the illicit traffic in small arms and light weapons and in the
implementation of the Program of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in
Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects

 A country should have strict gun control in order to reduce the misuse of small arms by citizens.
 An international database should be established for the tracking of SALW through the
aforementioned trackers

 Strict background checks for registration of licenses for the ownership and using of SALW.
Over 10000 people are killed and injured due to small armories and light weaponries in internal
warfare

 Seeking and distorting black market in which illegal trade of arms is abandoned by increasing
security measures
 Enlisting off al violent non state actors and prohibiting the provision of small arms and light
weapons to them

 Their presence further leads to an erosion of the rule of law, as justice systems are
unable to cope with and prevent the increase in gun violence and demand for small
arms. Governments and local and international development and relief organisations
may also be unable to carry out development projects because of insecurity and
continued disruptions caused by widespread civilian possession and misuse of firearms
