Constraints

The number of member for our group to construct our model was 7 people. Each and
every one of us have different timetable. Thus, time management was the biggest challenge for
us. Due to some of us had events to attend to and we all have other assignment to do, we decided
to discuss and construct our model after class every night for roughly about 2 to 3 weeks. So that
we can work together and discuss about the project, synthesize individual parts and prepare for
class presentation components of the assignment.

There were some small conflict while we were conducting the project. Each individual
has different personality. We all have different perspective on viewing things. Some of us have
different ideas on how to construct our model. However, having some conflict is good as it can
push the group toward genuine discussion that improves the project. For instance, we could not
decide on how the hypermarket should be layout. Some of us suggest that we use o-shaped but
some of us insist on making the model u-shaped. As a result, we decided on using the old-
fashioned way where each and everyone of us was given a vote and we can vote for the idea that
best suits the model.

Besides, we were having a problem on the materials. We did not know what materials we
should use to construct the model at the beginning. It would be costly if we chose to buy the
materials from the shops as we need to use many different types of materials to construct the
model. Therefore, we decided to use the recycle items to construct the model. It’s good to use the
recycle items for the model as we can reduce our expenses and also support environmental
protection at the same time.

After we had done the construction of the model, there is a problem on the transportation
of the model. We had to send the model to the exhibition room in our university and the size of
our model was very big. It was too risky if we use small sized car such as myvi or motorcycle to
send the model as the model will be damaged during the process of transportation. Fortunately,
one of us have a friend who are having a big-sized car. We would request him for helping us to
send our model to the exhibition room before the day of exhibition and he accepted our request.
All of us had thanked him with a cup of coffee as a way of appreciation. Finally, our model had
sent to the exhibition room safely and the exhibition went smoothly on that day.
