WHAT IS BRAVE NEW FILMS?
Brave New Films is a non-partisan,
non-profit organization that champions
social justice issues by using a model
of media, education, and grassroots
volunteer involvement that inspires,
empowers, motivates and
teaches civic participation.
At Brave New Films, we
tell stories that mobilize
people to make a

difference. It takes
both good films and
motivated activists
to promote change
POST-PRODUCTION
around social justice
issues. However, it is
no secret that certain SOCIAL MEDIA
groups of people are under-
represented in mainstream media,
therefore narrowing the lens through
which we see the world. The Brave New
Fellows Program aims to cultivate
conscious and skilled leaders that can
go on to shape their own narratives in
media and advocate for concerns
important to them.
What is the Brave New Fellows Program?
The Brave New Fellows Program offers
social justice advocates from communities of
color and/or economically marginalized
communities a one year, paid opportunity

to create and distribute media that makes a
difference.
What do fellows do?
Fellows will work alongside experienced staff
to build practical skills in digital storytelling,
production, post-production, campaign
strategies, outreach, and social
media. Fellows will choose to focus
in one of three majors;
outreach, post-production,
or social media.
In the last two months,
the fellows will rotate
through the other areas.
