The contract had originally only called for the building to house
the lighting company’s showroom. Halfway through SD,
the client had a change of strategy, and decided that the lot
would also have to house rentable office space and a restau-
rant. These additional programs required separate entrances
/ egresses, parking requirements, plumbing, and a totally re-
configured circulation system. It was decided that this scheme
would not be able to house the additional requirements, and
