any evidence in the difference of achievement. But it has been observed
from any evidence in the studies that merit scholars tend to come from higher socio-economic status compared with non-scholars. asked for or encouraged. This group neither get proper attention in the school nor is encouraged to blossom to the fullest extent.

possible.

underlying factors which are hindering the academic realization.
(3) Once factors are identified, steps should be taken to alter
their strength so as to effect of the achievement in a desirable direction.
(4) The parents of the gifted underachievers should have to be involved
in the orientation programe.
(5) The teacher's is role more laudable in this picture. He/She
should be the 'go-between' for make up for the loss faced by the underachievers in their internal and external world. (6) Emotional involvement is more important than simple physical comforts. It is in terms of parental care, aspiration, involvement and encourage that a gifted underachiever finds in remedial programme. It is in the classroom with an understanding and affectionate teachers that an underachiever finds the realization of his potentialities.
