Miss Great Britain
Comments: 1. The story depicts a certain intriguing issue which until now is happening in our country. It is good that we can be aware of what is really happening to our society. 2. The details of the story was presented in detailed form and it can be easy to understand also maybe for the sake of the common people which I can say one of the targets of the author. Facts: 1. The name Ronnie means king which we can actually relate with the title because way back then, a king usually wears armor. 2. The author of the story named John Bengan actually won the first place in the Palanca Awards (for short stories) because of this piece. Questions: 1. What do you think is the reason why the author uses a gay person as the main character in the story? Can this be a symbolism of something? If yes, what does it symbolize? 2. Why did the Death Squad get Biboy instead of shooting Ronnie? What can possibly happen to Ronnie after the pageant? Also, what can possibly happen to Biboy?
