NUCLEAR MEDICINE

DEPARTMENT
Senior Radiographer
Salary from €45,068 - €52,515
Applications are invited for the above permanent post. The successful candidate will
report to the RSM in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, SLROC SLH. She/He will be
primarily based within the Nuclear Medicine department in SLROC SLH and will work
within a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a high quality patient focussed
service. The post holder will contribute to all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine service
including preparation and intravenous administration of radiopharmaceuticals;
scanning patients; supporting the Nuclear Medicine therapy service; and quality
control of equipment. She/He will also deputise for the Clinical Specialist
Radiographer in Nuclear Medicine as required. In addition to the Nuclear Medicine
duties the post holder may be required to contribute to the delivery of the diagnostic
radiography service, including participating in the on-call rota.

Candidates for appointment must:

(i) Be registered on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register


maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU.
And
(ii) Have 3 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 3 years) post qualification clinical
experience.
And
(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability
and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office

Applicants will also be expected to demonstrate experience of working in the area of


Nuclear Medicine as relevant to the role.
