LMBR HR Payroll Program

Instructional Writer / Classroom Trainer

Job Description
1. Overview
The Learning Business and Management Reform (LMBR) program is one of the largest transformation programs in NSW
Government. It was established to deliver three large-scale enterprise solutions to replace a number of outdated,
disparate and unsupported legacy systems. The LMBR solutions include a single SAP-based financial system; human
resources system and payroll system as well as a number of business process improvements.

The HR Payroll Workstream is focused on the development and deployment of the integrated Human Capital
Management and Payroll systems to over 2200 state schools across NSW as well as corporate users and system
administrators.

2. Corporate Services
The Corporate Services division supports the work of divisions and the delivery of high-quality teaching in schools by
ensuring a skilled, productive workforce and an efficient business and operating environment. The division is responsible
for the delivery of Human Resources, Shared Services, Legal Services, Industrial Relations, Corporate Finance, Asset
Management, Procurement Solutions, Information Technology, Health and Safety, Employee Performance and Conduct
and managing security related incidents in our schools.

3. Statement of Duties
Under direction from the HR/Payroll Training Manager, the HR/Payroll Instructional Writer/Classroom Trainer will:

 Create end user training materials in multiple formats to support the HR and payroll functions
 Set up data in the training environment to support content creation, pilot sessions and end user training
 Conduct Train the trainer and Pilot sessions for allocated courses
 Deliver classroom training to end user audiences in various head office locations
 Deliver supported eLearning courses and run workshops with senior schools personnel in multiple locations
across NSW
 Other duties as required

Essential Skills Include:

 Instructional Design experience developing SAP NetWeaver training materials


 Experience in one or more of the following modules: SAP HR, SD, FI/CO
 Experience in developing training materials using training authoring tools such as WPB, Captivate or uPerform
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 Ability to work independently, show initiative and work as part of a team
 Excellent communication / presentation skills
 Flexible and adaptable to changing timelines and tight deadlines
 Superior attention to detail to prepare high quality training materials following a pre-defined template

- Developed SAP FI/CO Training Material with Workforce Performance Builder (WPB) courseware for General
Ledger, Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Grants, Labor Distribution,

- Worked on SAP HR Training Curriculum Type, HR Resource Management of Type Instructor and Room,
Prebook, Participant Cancellation Reasons, Cancellation Reasons in HR Learning Portal,
HR OM, HR PA, HCM (Training) and ESS module

Required Experience (minimum):

 5+ years of experience in the development of detailed end user documentation


 5+ years of experience in the delivery of SAP training
 Proven experience in setting up training clients with data for SAP training delivery
 Experience in delivering Train the Trainer
 Experience in creating eLearning training materials using eLearning software and authoring tools

Desirable:
 IT or HR business transformations
 Technical transformation projects
 Government project experience
 Experience with Adobe Captivate or SAP’s Workforce Performance Builder
 Experience delivering training to a range of end user audiences
