Introduction

In the past few years, students are having a hard time going to school just to

enroll. In addition, students also need to photocopy their requirements so that they can

be fully enrolled that take a lot of time dealing with the process. In order to address this

problem, the researchers came up to the idea of creating the first online enrollment

system in Cabiao National Senior High School.

Online enrollment is an easy and effective tool for those who are searching for

that instant satisfaction of being accepted. In today’s world, technology has become our

number one asset for communicating and for good reason: It saves time is cost

effective, and can give instant feedback.

Online student enrollment system enables students to enroll into their subjects

prior to the commencement of their semesters. This enrollment system not only allows

international students to enroll through internet without traveling to the campus.

This research is made possible using Google forms that you may use to fill forms

and submit requirements. It is part of Google's online apps suite of tools to help you get

more done in your browser for free. It's easy to use and one of the simplest ways to

directly save user’s data. Google Forms is now a full-featured forms tool that comes free

with your Google account. You can add standard question types, drag-and-drop
questions in the order you like, customize the form with simple photo or color themes,

and gather responses in Forms or save them to a Google Sheets spreadsheet.

The feature of Google forms that the researchers will use is short answers style

data collection. In this field of Google forms, the researchers can collect data like name,

email address, phone number and more. You can also put images for some several

requirements.

In this study, the researchers will prove that they can create an online enrollment

system using Google forms. They will also enumerate the positive effect of using this

kind of system. It can also lessen the stress of enrolling traditionally.

Statement of the Problem

The researchers were guided by the following question:

1. Is it possible to create an enrollment system using Google forms?

2. Does the data gathered accurate?

3. Is online enrollment better than traditional enrollment?

 Hypothesis

1. It is possible to create an online enrollment system using Google forms.

2. The data that is gathered is accurate.

3. Online enrollment is better than traditional enrollment.

Assumption of the Study

The researchers can assume that without Google form this study cannot exist.

This study will not work as we expected without the help of Google forms. We cannot

also gather information thru online without Google forms. The students will not be able

to submit their requirements and they will not be able to enroll without using Google

forms .This study cannot be conducted without Google forms.

Significance of the Study

The main concern of this study is to provide an online enrollment system that

enables all the information stays together in one confidential and secure location. It also

helps to keep the information organized. Online registration not only improves

efficiencies and eliminates unnecessary paperwork; it also maximizes participation and

improves marketing capabilities while allowing participants to sign up when and where it

is most convenient for them from any Internet-enabled computer.

 Scope and Limitation

This study will only be conducted in Cabiao National Senior High School. The

online enrollment system can only be used by the upcoming Grade 11 students.

Based on the researcher, a web-based enrollment system for Veritas Parochial

School (VPS) in Web Based enrollment system, Manila was developed to help its

students enroll in a more efficient way without the hassles of waiting long hours in filling

out forms, which sometimes become redundant, or to stand in line and pay at the

cashier. It is with the Web-based Enrollment System for VPS that this new style of

enrollment may be achieved. This new type of system offers its students new options for

enrolling at VPS. By logging on to VPS website, one can register and enroll subjects for

a school year. With these, all the students are required to fill out certain forms that do

not take more than a few minutes to accomplish. The system stores its records in the

school database for future references. Confirmation of the transaction made by the

students need to be verified, the payment of tuition fees must be made in the schools

registrar.

According to Lopez (2005), a Registration system helps and provides efficient

and reliable services to the students, enrollment personnel and administration.

Moreover, this system improved the process of enrollment in terms of searching,

retrieving and subject schedules.

There are different systems designed for reliable, efficient and very useful to the

user. Cabang et al. (2003) developed the ‘computerized Students Record Monitoring

System of Siniloan National High School”, Computerized Student data will be

exceedingly helped to the user through continuous management of the School. It could
help the registrar for a less effort services in the institutions especially in updating,

printing and deleting student’s record.

Velasco (2002) Study entitled “Maulawin National High School Student

Information System” cited that maintaining students, records manually is a very difficult

task and time consuming. In that case, computerization system that can help and

handle this data needed to speed up the process of student’s record keeping and to

promote and reliability.

According to Jennifer Rowley (2005), information systems are a tool to support

information management. Information systems are increasingly being used in

organizations with the objective of providing competitive advantage. The information

systems used by organizations can be grouped into different types such as transaction

processing system, management information system, decision support system,

executive information system, expert systems and office information system.

As said by Dunn and Scott (2005), science and technology is the root of

emerging innovations in this world. For many years now, a person in this field of

expertise does not stop to reshape the landscape of today’s business world. Enrollment

system has made huge impact into the school arena. It is a system that is built on

innovative program strategies. It is a system that will help both the enrollment

personnel-in-charge and the students to easily process the enrollment at a lesser time.
