Visit the Vendor Booths, Play Bingo or enjoy music from the Hillyard Belles at 2:30 followed by
HSC Director (Jerry Unruh) who will be performing at the Festival at 4pm. Join in on the fun with
your friends and neighbors, and celebrate the Senior Day at the Hillyard Neighborhood Festival. Af-
ter we’ll have dinner at the Sportsman Café (on your own) Trip price includes Transportation, and
Escort. HSC Pick-up is at 2:30pm, and Home pick-ups before.

Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival

Saturday, August 10th (*Easy) $24 Member / Non-Member $27
Nestled in the pines on the shores of Medical Lake, the Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival is one of the
best summertime bluegrass experiences in the Northwest. We’ll enjoy hours of performances by tal-
ented musicians coming from near and far to be a part of the festival. Food Booths will be available
at the festival (on your own) or you’re welcome to bring your own. Bring your lawn chairs Trip
price includes: Transportation, Admission, and Escort. HSC Pickup 1:45pm, Home P/U before.

Breakfast Out
Monday, August 12th (*Easy) $5 Member / Non-Member $8
Join your Director and friends from the HSC for a delicious breakfast at Elmer’s Restaurant in CDA.
Enjoy the nice drive, and have delicious breakfast at a local cafe. Remember breakfast is on your
own. Hurry this trip fills quickly! Trip price includes Transportation, and Escort. HSC Pick-up is at
9:30am, and Home pick-ups afterwards.

Museum Tour at the Brig (Farragut State Park)

Friday, August 16th (*Easy) $11 Member / Non-Member $14
The Brig museum stands guard over the grounds of what was the world’s largest naval training facili-
ty. Built in response to the Dec 7th, 1941 bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese planes, the Brig once
used to confine unruely naval recruits from 1942-1946, is now owned by the state of Idaho and
houses a museum of boot camp, naval and war memorabilia dedicated to the 293,381 naval recruits
who received their basic training here during WWII. We’ll stop for Ice Cream (on your own) follow-
ing our tour. Trip price includes Transportation, and Escort. HSC Pick-up is at 9:30am.

Casino Trip to Chewelah

Wednesday, Aug. 21st (*Easy) $12 Member / Non-Member $15
The drive to Chewelah is beautiful, gambling is fun, and when you are finished, relax in their café.
The breakfast and lunch menu are delicious and the prices are reasonable (on your own) Register
early for this trip, it fills quickly! Trip price includes: Transportation and Escort. HSC pickup is at
9:00AM and home pickups afterwards.

Square Dance Festival & Salmon BBQ Dinner

Sunday, August 25th (*Easy) $19 Member / Non-Member $22
We’ll attend the 63rd annual Square Dance Festival in the Spokane Valley. We’ll enjoy watching the
talented square dancers perform during the festival and eat a delicious Salmon BBQ dinner. Trip
price includes: Admission, Dinner, Transportation, and Escort. HSC pickup is at 1:00pm and Home
pickups afterwards.

Spokane Indians Game!

Wednesday, Aug. 28th (*Easy) $16 Member / Non-Member $19
We can’t let the summer go by without a trip to Avista Stadium, home of our Spokane Indians Base-
ball team. Come along for Family Feast Night and watch your hometown Spokane Indians take on
the Everett Aqua sox. Get your fill of Hot dogs, peanuts, while enjoying a great game at the same
time. See “Otto” the Spokaneasurus mascot of your Spokane Indians team. It’s going to be a great
night at the ballgame! Trip price includes: transportation, escort, and Admission to the game. HSC

Under the Freeway Flea Market & Festival!- (Wallace, ID)

Stroll from booth to booth at this unique community event! Come enjoy our annual mile long Under
the Freeway Flea Market in downtown historic Wallace, Idaho. Scores of vendors showcasing
collectables, antiques, live music, kids games, running of the ducks and whole lot more. Trip price
