Bleeding occupy the highest percentage of causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia

which is the main cause of the hemorrhage is anemia and chronic energy deficiency. In
Indonesia, approximately 70% of pregnant women suffer from anemia. The provision of iron
tablets to pregnant women is one attempt to address iron deficiency during pregnancy. The
purpose of this study is to describe the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablet in
Puskesmas Conggeang Sumedang Regency, 2015.
The method used is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The instrument used for
data collection was a questionnaire distributed to respondents with a sample of whole populsi as
many as 30 people. The results of the data is in getting then analyzed using a computerized
system.
The survey results revealed that most of the compliance of pregnant women in
consuming Fe tablet at sub-district health centers conggeang conggean sumedang districts
included in the category of Good (80%).
In general, pregnant mothers in the working area of the district health centers conggeang
districts conggeang sumedang most are either in compliance consuming Fe tablet and nice to be
maintained and further enhanced. It is expected that all pregnant women after knowing the
benefits of compliance of consuming Fe tablet can be applied in everyday life so completely
obedient in consuming Fe tablet given by health workers with compliance pregnant mothers are
both in consuming Fe tablet is expected to prevent anemia / Disease blood shortages are causing
harm during pregnancy, the danger to the fetus and the dangers of the post-partum stage.
