Description Areas of Application

Sika®-Foam Lex is chemically Sika®-Foam Lex used at sealant

Method of Application
Instruction:
Verify that the join is clean, mois-
ture free and clear of obstructions
Select Sika®-Foam Lex in a diam-
eter that is approximately 25%
larger than the joint. Cut Sika®-
Foam Lex to the desred length or
dispense the rod directly from the
reel.
Position Sika®-Foam Lex in the
join at the depth specified by the
sealant manufacturer or architect.
Press Sika®-Foam Lex uniformly
into the joint using a proper tool.
Apply the sealant over Sika®-
Foam Lex following the sealant’s
manufacturer.

Avoiding three-side adhesion
Three-side adhesion without Si-
ka®-Foam Lex at join causes fail-
ure and sealant will tear (used hard
materials and bonded sealant).
