Our school SMJK Heng Ee will hold an Annual School
Concert every year at Dewan Sri Pinang Auditorium this
year is no exception too. A full-dress rehearsal was held before a day. Today is the concert day, tickets were sold to the public at RM 30 and students’ tickets were RM 10 for each. Students were told to sit according to their class in foyer while waiting for the chartered buses. The school chartered a few buses to take the performers students without transport to the concert venue. Some of the prefect helped to paste signage cards on specific rows of seat. The performers put on a bit of make up to make them look presentable.
The buses reached the concert venue about
6.15 pm. Prefects were told to pin paper rosettes to the chests of VIPs. A few prefects were told to station at the main entrance to collect the tickets. Before the start of concert, the audience was reminded to either switch off their mobile phone I silent mode and prohibited from using cameras with flashlight.
The concert started with an opening speech by the
PTA Chairman. Patrons who donated RM 600 and above were invited for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the chairman od the School Board of Directors hit the gong to mark the start of the concert. First, School Choir presented two delightful songs and one choir member sang solo to entertain the audience. After then, the school Wind Orchestra entertained with delightful musical. The Harmonica Band belted out a few lively and upbeat musical. The Chinese Orchestra rendered a few classical with their traditional musical instruments. The dancers from the Chinese Cultural Dance Troupe were all in dressed in colorful costumes. An interesting drama was presented by the school Drama Club members.
The concert ended at about 10. 30pm.The audiences
were full of praise for the performance. They described it as excellent and wonderful.
