A positive sentence (PS) tells you that something is so. A sentence that tells you something
is not so is called a negative sentence (NS). It contains a negative word like not, never, no,
no one, nobody, none, or a negative verb like isn’t or can’t or won’t.

The simple present tense is used to talk about general truths. It is also used to talk
about time-tabled future events. Unlike other tense forms, the simple present tense has
a special –s marking when the subject is a singular noun or a third person pronoun.
