SAMPAGUITA SOAP WITH ALOE VERA EXTRACT (Mogorium undulatum -

INTRODUCTION

In today’s modern world, people nowadays are more conscious about their

physical appearance, more specifically to their skin. Some has their own skin care

routine where they use creams, face masks, lotions, hand sanitizers, and soaps. They

are very particular in choosing on what product they will use, and they highly consider

these things: effectiveness, suitable to their skin, fragrance or good scent, ingredients

used in the soap and its price (cheap or expensive).

With these factors, we came up with this idea to make a homemade or

handmade soap that is suitable for all skin types and highly affordable. Besides being

inexpensive, our homemade soap is chemical free, made from pure and natural

ingredients like the Sampaguita and Aloe Vera extract.

Aloe vera is a popular medicinal plant that is used in the cosmetic,

pharmaceutical and food industries. Its leaves are full of a gel-like substance that

contains numerous beneficial compounds for the body. Here are some of the benefits of

Aloe Vera:

1. For acne sufferers, Aloe Vera is an ingredient that will promote faster healing of

blemishes. That’s because the extract contains polysaccharides and growth

hormones which stimulate cell growth.

2. Aloe also stimulates skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid, which is a chemical

that holds water. Because of this, regular use of skin care products containing Aloe

will result in fuller, more moisturized skin.

3. This ingredient is also common in after-sun products because not only does it

promote healing, but it also has a soothing, anti-inflammatory effect that helps calm

irritation.

4. The amino acids in Aloe work to soften skin cells. This combined with the increase

in cell growth results in skin that is less wrinkled and more elastic.

5. Aloe naturally contains salicylic acid, which gives the extract an antiseptic effect. If

you have pimples that are caused by bacteria, then Aloe will help prevent them.

6. Like most botanical extracts, Aloe is rich with antioxidants that help prevent damage

caused by pollutants while helping the skin look bright and fresh.

Another natural ingredient that we will be using for our handmade soap is the

Sampaguita. Sampaguita has a good scent and it can give a lot of benefits for the skin.

Here are some of the benefits you can get from the Sampaguita:

 Anti-aging: Because of its antioxidants, sampaguita can help protect from

environmental stressors. This can help give a youthful appearance to your skin.

 Even skin tone: Sampaguita can help and it is very effective in evening the tone

of skin as well as reducing the appearance of age spots.

 Moisturizing: Like many natural oils, Sampaguita oil helps treat dry skin and

provide natural moisture that won't clog pores.

 Non-irritating: Sampaguita is non-irritating and non-sensitizing. It's also great for

dry, greasy, or sensitive skin, as it helps to balance all types without irritating.
 Natural scent: We can't deny the lovely scent that this flower has—so adding it

to skin care helps to pick you up as well as nourish your skin.

So, we came up to this idea to make this Sampaguita- Aloe Vera handmade

soap that can give benefits to your skin and has 100% natural ingredients.
