JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Engineering Manager

Job Objectives:

Customer Enquiry and Order Processing Procedure

 Engineering Manager shall obtain information through procurement


department regarding alternate sections available in the market and
will obtain clients approval/acceptance of substitute section and
advise procurement/Production/QC for further action.
 They will be sending transmittal to customer for approval if required.
Manager will issue drawing revisions, cutting list, MTO and shall check
any technical queries for Production, QA/QC, and store.
 They will inform purchasing of any material order changes as required
as per approval from Projects Manager.

Design and Development procedure

 Shall ensure the availability of sufficient qualified resources for


implementing the design and development activities.
 Shall review the documentation/drawings to meet the specs.
 Shall initiate a design review meeting interfacing all the departments
during design evolvement.
 Shall be responsible for organization’s compliance with codes and
standards.
 They will be coordinating with the teams to understand the project
work and all works should be approved by the clients/management.
 Shall review the client documents before submission to client
 Shall review the subcontract design drawings and calculations and
comment/return/approve as necessary
 Shall issue the fabrication drawings as “issue for fabrication” after
thorough review.
 Shall review the results of validation result.
 Shall review the design change requests received from production
and make necessary changes if required in design without
compromising the codes and standards.
