Our Plan

After our initial meeting, Becca and Holly will work together to develop lessons and/or tutorials

on different educational technology tools. Volunteers expressed interest in learning how to use

new tools. Several people expressed that oftentimes the curriculum guide will suggest using a

tool however, the teacher does not feel confident in using it themselves to present it to students.

In order to meet these needs, Becca and Holly will provide resources and support. We will utilize

the Schoology course to house all of our materials. Much of the instruction will be

asynchronous.That is, we do not all need to meet at the same time. You do what you can, when

you can. We will present a tool or idea each Tuesday in March. Please explore the resources in

the folder and if possible, try it out with your students. By the following Tuesday, please engage

in some sort of conversation or provide feedback. This could be a discussion board on Schoology

or completing a quick survey. Becca and Holly are here to support, we don’t expect this to go

perfectly. We appreciate your participation and willingness to try!

Why?

The overall goal of our internship project is to support the members of our pilot group in

developing their technology skills so that they can help teach and support their colleagues. This

pilot group will finish the modules and have a toolbox of resources to use and share with their

teammates who are not in the pilot group. Holly and Rebecca will be able to use the data and

information gained throughout the internship in order to further implement a technology

committee. Next school year, with further implementation we hope to see more consistent,

higher level and independent technology use by staff and students.
