ROAD WORK

Activities undertaken under the project

After preparation and signing of agreement between Third Party Agency and Client, WAPCOS initiate

site visits for the projects where tenders have been invited or where construction has commenced

for ascertaining quality of work at various stages of construction.

Examination of project documents, designs and drawings w.r.t. the sanctioned convenants.

Analyzing various material used in road construction such as good earth, coarse aggregates, fine

aggregates, GSB, WMM, bitumen etc. quantitatively and qualitatively.

Conducting field tests at various stages such as measurement of road width and thickness, sieve

analysis, field density of GSB, WMM, BC etc., %age Compaction, Bitumen Content test, Core Cutting,

Plate Test for Tack Coat, Determining Compressive Strength of Pavers (if used) etc. and all other

necessary tests pertaining to road construction.

Checking whether the Design Mix of Bitumen being used in road work is as per approved Grade and

Specifications or not.

To keep an eye on smooth ongoing of the project and simultaneously rectifying the defects or errors,

if any.

Compiling of data and preparation of joint inspection reports including status of work as per

agreement and actual status of work executed at site with test reports for the tests conducted at

site, deficiencies observed in execution of work, corrective measures and overall comments in the

prescribed format and sending the same to concerned officials.

SEWERAGE AND WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

Activities undertaken under the project

After preparation and signing of agreement between Third Party Agency and Client, WAPCOS initiate

site visits for the projects where tenders have been invited or where construction has commenced

for ascertaining quality of work at various stages of construction.

Examination of project documents, designs and drawings w.r.t. the sanctioned convenants.

Analyzing various material used in laying of sewerage and water supply lines such as coarse

aggregates, fine aggregates, cement, quality of water etc. quantitatively and qualitatively.

Analyzing various parameters such as length of sewer/ water supply line, whether type of sewer

being laid is as per agreement or not, quality and type of pipes being used, concrete being used in

laying of sewer/ water supply, slope, steps of manholes, haunching etc. and all other necessary tests

pertaining to road construction.

To keep an eye on smooth ongoing of the project and simultaneously rectifying the defects or errors,

if any.

agreement and actual status of work executed at site with test reports for the tests conducted at

CIVIL WORKS

Activities undertaken under the project

After preparation and signing of agreement between Third Party Agency and Client, WAPCOS initiate

site visits for the projects where tenders have been invited or where construction has commenced

for ascertaining quality of work at various stages of construction.

Examination of project documents, designs and drawings w.r.t. the sanctioned convenants.

Analyzing various material used in construction of civil works such as Community Centres, Sewerage

Treatment Plants, Police Station, Old Age Home and other Departmental Buildings such as coarse

aggregates, fine aggregates, cement, bricks, reinforcement, quality of water etc. quantitatively and

qualitatively.

Conducting field tests at various stages such as slump cone test, casting of cubes for determination

of Comressive Strength of concrete being used, whether steel reinforcement being used is as per

approved make of DNIT or not, Rebound Hammer test for determination of Compressive Concrete

already casted concrete structure, whether curing of brick work and concrete work is adequate or

not, shuttering, bending and binding of steel, and all other necessary tests pertaining to road

construction.
