ROBOT RESTAURANT IN TOKYO – MY
EXPERIENCE

Do you want to know more about the Robot Restaurant in Tokyo? I have been there, and
it’s the craziest show I’ve seen. The Robot Restaurant is one of Tokyo’s most popular
attractions.

It’s located in Shinjuku, in the famous area of Kabuchiko and offers several performances
per day.

This show definitely has some of the best and most innovative
performances in the world. It’s truly unique, and I can guarantee
that you haven’t seen anything like it before. Words are not
enough!
HOW TO GET TICKETS TO THE ROBOT
RESTAURANT
Tickets can be bought in 3-ways. You can either buy it directly via the Robot Restaurant website,
or you can buy cheaper tickets via a third-party seller.

HOW MUCH DOES A TICKET COST?

 8000 yen (about $70)
MY EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS ABOUT
THE ROBOT RESTAURANT
I have a hard time to find my words to describe this, but I will do my best. Already at the
entrance, one can take a cheesy photo while sitting in a giant robot chair. After showing the
ticket, you’re being led into the bar.

And this is where the madness begins. The bar is not like an ordinary bar, it’s like a glitter
factory exploded and was reassembled into a bar. Mirrors, rainbow colors and all sorts of details
everywhere, and I mean literally everywhere.
A few visitors get called up on the stage to drink sake with some of the performers who’re
already dressed up as ninjas and various other things. A few minutes after that, we were being
told that we could go down to the basement where the Robot Restaurant show is located.

The unicorn and color explosion on the walls and ceiling continues as we walk down to our
seats. We got really close up to the performers and robots during the Robot restaurant show, and
it was both frightening and amazing to experience at that close distance.

During the Robot show, you will see dancers, robotic monsters, ninjas, drummers, warriors and
all kinds of machines that will put on different plays for the audience. The show is divided into
several acts with a short break in-between.

All this is being seen at the same time as some weird J-POP electro mix is being played loudly in
the speakers. I think almost everyone in the audience is being put into a state of mind where you
don’t really know how to react or what to expect next.

It’s pure bliss for 90 minutes and you’ll certainly join the cheering crowds while waving with the
neon-colored glowsticks that are being handed out to the audience.
With that said, it’s the craziest thing I have ever witnessed, and I would go as far as saying that
the Robot Restaurant show can put you into a state of mind where you feel pure happiness,
fascination, and the sense of being a child again.

I haven’t tried LSD, but I can imagine it being similar to this experience.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
The following things are not allowed:

 Wearing sunglasses
 Drunk customers
 Gang members
 Tattoos (Please cover if you have any)
 Wearing cosplay or bizarre costume

It’s allowed to take pictures and make videos during the Robot show, as long as you don’t use
the flash.

If you are late for the show time, your seats are not secured and your Robot Restaurant tickets
are non-refundable. So basically, just make sure that you’re there about 30-60 minutes before in
the Shinjuku area.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROBOT

The performers of the Robot Restaurant rehearsal each day, and you can tell that the whole show
