Narrative

I will use this video to help my students use the internet and the technology that is available to them to
better their writing and use it to their advantages. In this 8th grade writing curriculum, it is wanting them
to use technology to help with their writing skills and open their eyes to all of the different ways that
technology can further your writing techniques. After going over the information that was in the video
with them, I will take them to the computer lab and let them explore the internet and the different tool
that they learned from the lesson. After getting a feel for all of the different tools, I will have them
gather into groups and create a small research paper over a topic of their choosing. I will have them use
the interactive and collaborate aspect by placing them in an online discussion board so they are able to
communicate back and forth. After this project is complete, they will be aware of how to use technology
to their advantage and to use it efficiently when writing.
