I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Identify the different styles of napkin folding.
2. Perform the different styles of napkin folding.
3. Appreciate the importance of different styles of napkin folding.

B. Presentation

Activity 1
Candle table napkin
Materials:
table napkin
Steps:
. Fold the napkin in half diagonally.
. Fold up the bottom edge about one inch.
. Turn the napkin over and roll it up firmly lightly.
. Stand the candle.

Activity 2
Birds of Paradise
Steps:
. Fold the napkin in quarters.
. Place it so the free corners are at the bottom,then fold it in half diagonally to form a triangle
with the free corners on top.
. Hold you finger on top corner as you fold first the right side to the center.
. Fold the lower points under the napkin.
. Fold the triangle in half by bringing the left side under the right side.The center fold will
open slightly.
. Lay the napkin down so the corner points are on top holding the broad end of the napkin
with one hand,pull up the four corner points to form petals.

Activity 3
Pyramid
Steps:
. Lay the napkin face down in front of you.
. Fold the napkin diagonally.
. Rotate the napkin so the open ends faces away from you.
. Fold the right end up to meet the far corner, ensuring the edge of this new fold lays on
the centerline as shown.
. Repeat the last step with the left side, folding the left tip up to the far corner,creating
a diamond shape with a seam running down the center.
. Turn the napkin over, keeping the open end facing away from you.
. Fold the napkin in half by bringing the farthest point of the diamond up and back to
the nearest point.
. Turn the napkin over again, this time keeping the open end facing towards you.
. Fold the napkin along the center seam and you have neat, sturdy pyramid.

Activity 4
Triple pocket
Steps:
. Fold the napkin in half left to right.
. Fold in half bottom to top.
. Fold top right down corner diagonally.
. Fold down next layer and luck behind the first
. Fold down third layer and luck behind the second.
. Fold right side under, about an inch.
. Fold the other side under.
. Tuck flatwares into the pocket

Activity 5
Rosebud
Steps:
. Fold the napkin in half diagonally to form a triangle.
. Roll up halfway to point.
.Flip over napkin so fold is down.
.Fold over and starting on left side
. Tuck popint into pocket.

C. Application

Students will practice and perform different kinds of napkin folding as many as they can
and only in 2 minutes.
