INTRODUCTION

A gate is defined as a digital circuit which follows some logical relationship

between the input and output voltages. i.e. It either allows or stops a signal to
pass through. These

Logic gates are the basic building blocks to any digital system. A logic gate
may have more than one input, but it always has a single output. A logic gate
follows the 'Boolean Algebra', which is the algebra based on the binary nature of
logic gates.

A truth table is used to express all the possible input and output voltages.
