Dear Community:

We will be coming upon 10 years of honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the
Civil Rights Movements in our local community at the upcoming 10th Annual Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast Tribute on Monday, January 17th,
2011. In celebration, we request your support in launching a “Share the Dream”
Student Essay Competition with our local students.

We ask you to encourage your local students in Middle School and High
School to engage in this competition answering one of the following questions:

• How will you carry Dr. King’s Dream in your future?

• What significance does “content of character” have in your life?
• Why is this holiday still relevant to your generation?

The selected Middle School and High School Winner out of the pool of essay
submissions will be asked to read their winning essay at the event upon receiving
a sponsored prize and a “Share the Dream” Student Award.

If you should have any questions in regards to the event or the Student Essay
Competition, please give us a call at (909) 450-6310 or e-mail
jai@juneteenthamerica.us. Attached is additional information and submission
