    CALCULATION OF MAXIMUM SCOUR DEPTH

    CALCULATION OF SILT FACTOR (Ksf) :


    Ksf = 1.76 √dm (As per clause No. 703.2.2 of IRC:78 - 2014)
    dm = weighted mean diametre of bed material in milimitre.
    = 1 mm
    Ksf = 1.76

    CALCULATION OF SCOUR DEPTH :


    V = Maxm Discharge Velocity
    = 4.40 m/sec
    d = Depth of water consider for unit discharge
    = 8 m
    Db = Discharge per Metre width of waterway
    = AxV
    = 35.2 cumecs
    = 45.76 cumecs Increase of 30% over Design Discharge
    (Vide clause No. 703.1.1 of IRC:78 - 2014)

    MEAN SCOUR DEPTH (dsm)


    dsm = 1.34 (Db / Ksf)⅓ (As per IRC: 78-2014)
    dsm = 3.993 m
    2 dsm = 7.986 m (Vide cl. No. 703.3.1.1 of IRC:78 - 2014)
