“Black Soot as Alternative Shoe Polish”

I. Background of the Study:

Most students are in favor of using factory made shoe polish, a popular
example of it is Kiwi, in order to improve the appearance of their shoes. Most
students in the rural areas of the Philippines cannot afford to buy such luxury, which
is why I present my research in order to find an alternative shoe polish made from
objects found in a common household.

II. Objectives:

General Objectives: This study aims to find out if black soot is effective enough to
be an alternative shoe polish.

Specific Objectives:
1. The duration of how long will the alternative shoe polish last.
2. To identify the best possible liquid solution to be mixed with the soot to produce a
long lasting mixture as a substitute for the show polish.
