TOPIC: Challenges of Classroom Rules Implementation

Classroom implementation was quite challenging because it is difficult for the pupils to
understand and remember it if teacher do not emphasize it in class. Basically, I introduced
pupils with classroom rules during my first class and told them that I would be questioning about
it next time. And the next day, when I asked the pupils about the rules, some of them still do not
remember it yet. And it is also challenging to control the class. I always have to remind them to
control their voice.

According to Maria (2019), it’s difficult to balance the need for order and structure with
the desire to build a collaborative, fun environment for learning. But proper classroom
management techniques include developing rules that guide student learning and set
expectations around classroom behavior. Promoting consistent and value-based rules can help
build a positive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to explore and
succeed.

Suggestion to solve this issue is to develop classroom rules that guide student learning
and classroom behaviour. At the same time, teacher should consistently revise and remind
them of the rules while conducting the lesson. Furthermore, teacher should also ask classroom
rules everyday until every pupil memorizes it. It is also important for teacher to emphasize the
classroom rules directly if any of them misbehave or disobey in class.
