A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND ANNUAL

INVESTMENT PLAN FOR CY 2019 OF BARANGAY TUBURAN SULBOD, PROVINCE
OF ILOILO FOR THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY FOR ADOPTION.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Development Council has prepared the Barangay

Annual Development Plan of this Barangay of the year 2019.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Development Plan CY 2019 after review, is to be in

lined with development policies and priorities of the Barangay Government and
Municipal Development Council.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Barangay Kagawad __________________

and duly seconded by Barangay Kagawad ____________________ BE IT RESOLVED
AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to approved the Barangay Development Plan 2019 as
prepared.

RESOLVED FURTHERE to submit copies of this resolution to the office of

the Municipal Development Council for further appropriate action.

MESSAGE

At this moment I would like to thank my fellow Barangay Officials,

Barangay Development Council (BDC) the Sangguniang Barangay for the
full support and cooperating in planning and making this development
plan CY 2019. As we overview the future development of our Barangay our
purpose is always for the welfare of our constituents. I as your Punong
Barangay believe that this Development Plan is the way of uplifting and
developing our Barangay. We are hoping the the Government from National
down to the local level will continue to support the Barangay with its
program for development and giving basics services for its community.

Let us value or service. Let us pray and serve wholeheartedly and

protect our resources for the bright future.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Barangay Tuburan Sulbod

In the year 1990’s after the Spanish-American War and Filipino- American
War, Barangay Tuburan Sulbod as it is officially named today was part of
Municipality of Santa Barbara and it is located at the central part of the Iloilo
Province, Fifty percent of its circumference lien running the bountiful creek
that was originally called “JANIPAAN CREEK”. The main product of this
Barangay is the sugarcane owned by the haciendero’s during the time. The
barangay has not given its name until one day a foreign man from Spain passes
by and saw a native working on the field and planting sugarcane. The man ask
the native “What do you call a plant you are planting?” the native replied “tubo
ran Senior” and the foreign man continue to its journey. The next day the
foreign man come back with a companion and ask again the native “what do
you call the plant again?” and the native again replied “ tubo ran” his
companion thought that the place is called as Tuboran. Later on, the native of
this barangay changed that name into Tuburan Sulbod. That’s how the
barangay got its name and passes this until this generation.

socially and morally progressive, peaceful, drug free, clean and
environmentally aware.
A community where families and their children can play and enjoy their
lives, free from danger and diseases.

MISSION

To ensure that all individuals be given equal access to the

services that government has to offer and assist the people of
the community in whatever problems or grievance they may
have and ensure the continued productivity of each individual
so that he/she can contribute to the greater good.
