CAMPBGEN FLORENDO- The Police Regional Office 1 will join the nationwide 23rd

PCR Month Celebration this coming month of July 2018. As the lead advocate of
Community Policing, the PRO1 will take its steps in the kick-off ceremony of the PCR
Month on Monday, July 2, 2018 during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony in Camp
BGen Oscar M Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Said ceremony will be graced in by the PRO1 top cop, PCSUPT ROMULO E
SAPITULA, former Cavite Governor Mr. Juan Victor Remulla Jr, and the police officers
of Police Regional Office 1.

The PCR Month was declared a mandatory celebration every month of July of the year
by virtue of President Proclamation 764. The activity is comprise of several activities
that are designed to strengthen community oriented policing system and serves as a
medium of stronger partnership and community support in crime prevention and public
safety programs of the PNP.

PCSUPT Sapitula said that the community plays a very significant role in the
maintenance of peace and order in the community. “As an experienced public servant, I
have encountered numerous crimes and I have also witnessed how the community
helped the police in solving these crimes.’’ he said. “ Aside from being the stakeholders
of government services, the community is the primary source of information the PNP
needs in order to adhere to its vision and mission. With that I am a top supporter of this
celebration,” he added.

The Police Regional Office 1 in partnership with the NAPOLCOM and participating
government agencies, LGUs, NGOs, and other institutions is working on collaborations
to achieve a fruitful PCR Month celebration and a well-entrenched community oriented
policing system in the region.
