1. Lesson from the Prez
• Putting up posters
o Make a poster yourself or talk to Gabe about making a
poster
o Print one copy of it and get Dale or your staff advisor to
sign it
o Photocopy a lot of copies
o You cannot put posters in the stairwells
• Making an announcement
o Go to the South VP
o Fill out an announcement form and get it signed by your
staff advisor
o Put it in the pile of announcements to be read
2. Fundraising committee
• Noone came to the meeting
• Will continue to help Natalie sell pizza in the front hall at lunch
• Will sell Red Knight-grams for Christmas and will get the mascot
to hand them out
• Ms. Abrams has Northern water bottles that could be sold as well
– committee should talk to Ms. Abrams regarding this
3. Save a Child’s Heart
• It is based in Israel for kids from outside countries who do not
receive proper medical care in their country
• The money goes to flying the kid to Israel and back, as well as
the surgery
• Northern would get one kid to sponsor
• An idea would be to have another dance to raise money for this
cause

V. Statements by Executive
5. President Oren Lefkowitz:
• He was holding a bag full of dead mice due to the mice
infestation
• This has been caused primarily by littering
• We have to get the message out to be more vigilant about this

2. Vice President Max Naylor:


• Only half of the senators are wearing appropriate attire –
everyone must live up the expectations of the Senate
• Missing too many meetings will potentially risk your role on the
Senate
• Come on time
3. Treasurer Zach Morgenstern:
• The budget will be voted on at the next class rep meeting
• Make sure you vote in favor of the current budget! (Vote
opposed to SmartRisk, we do not want another budget meeting)
• Get in touch with class reps to get them to vote for the current
budget
4. ESD Gareth Everard:
• Booked the Berkeley Church for Prom
• On Queen and Parliament
5. ISD Natalie Wainwright:
• Natalie has the responsibility by constitution of fundraising for
the SAC
• The fundraising committee and her must work cooperatively
whilst selling pizza and Red Knight-grams, etc.
6. Secretary Laura Charney

VI. Statements by Senators:


1. Denise Lima, Environmental Senator:
• Proposal for the courtyard, garbage bins, recycling bins, and
compost bins, will be ready soon
• She will send it to Dale first

VII. New Business:


• Club Charters
o Vote to approve all clubs: passed
• Association application from the GSA
o Being an association allows them to request $800 on the
budget
o It is more set in stone than being a club
o The GSA has been at Northern since 1988
o The vote will be postponed until next week and there will
be a representative from the GSA to state why they want
to become an association
• Vote to have a Womens’ Rights Club: passed

• Gabes has a t-shirt company, so he would be able to help the

Fundraising Committee by giving them t-shirts


o He should speak to Natalie about this issue
• We should have a deaf & hard of hearing senator according to
Constitution
o Andrew will speak to the department and find a senator

IX. Adjournment
• Alex Stock and Shannon Hill motion the meeting to adjourn
