ADVANCED PRESENTATION SKILLS

CREATING AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION
1. MINIMIZE- keep slide counts to a minimum.
2. CLARITY- use a font style that is easy to read.
3. SIMPLICITY- use bullets or short liners (6x7 rule)
4. VISUALS- use graphics to help in your presentation
5. CONSISTENCY- make your design uniform.
6. CONTRAST- use light font on dark background or vice
versa.

Slide no. Presentation
1 Product/ Service name, group name and group members
2 Initial product/ service information (what is your product or
service? Include a photo)
3 to 6 Survey, survey results (display the questions and results of
the survey and how it affects the product upon its release.
7 Bazaar sale result (was your service/ product profitable? Use
graphics)
8 Improvements: if you were to sell the product again, what
would be the changes?

WAYS TO INSERT HYPERLINKS
1. SELECT AN OBJECT OR TEXT
2. GO TO INSERT> HYPERLINKS
1. CTRL+k
2. RIGHT CLICK> INSERT HYPERLINK
3. “INSERT HYPERLINK” DIALOGUE BOX WILL APPEAR

• EXISTING FILE OR WEB PAGE- Creates a hyperlink to a website (type


the web address on the address bar) or a local file saved in your hard
drive (browse your file in the dialog box)
• PLACE IN THIS DOCUMENT- creates a hyperlink that allows you to
jump to a specific slide in your presentation.
• CREATE NEW DOCUMENT- creates a hyperlink that once clicked,
creates a new document on your specified location.
• E-MAIL ADDRESS- creates a hyperlink that opens Ms Outlook that
automatically adds your specified recipient or a new email.

3. When done, click OK to apply your hyperlink.

2. OBJECT (TEXT GROUP)

3. INSERT OBJECT DIALOG BOX WILL APPEAR
