Psalms of Ascent
“For you are my dove, hidden in the split-open rock. It was I who took you and
hid you up high in the secret stairway of the sky. Let me see your radiant face
and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your
voice in prayer.” Songs 2:14 TPT
“O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs,
let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and
thy countenance is comely.”
Song 2:14 KJ21
Psalm 122:3 TPT footnotes: The Hebrew phrase “a city bound together” is
taken from a root word that means “joined, united, coupled.” By inference in
the context, it is the city where God dwells and man worships.
