Subject: Gwich'in Steering Committee Member Meeting Request

Hi Tanushri,

I am reaching out to request a meeting with Representative Ocasio-Cortez on behalf of

the Gwich’in Steering Committee between July 15th- 17th (Monday through Wednesday).
Specifically, the group is available in the afternoon on Monday, July 15, all day on
Tuesday, July 16 and before 3pm on Wednesday, July 17. They will be in Washington,
D.C. to speak to members of Congress about the Arctic Refuge prior to the vote on H.R.
1146 Arctic Cultural and Coastal Plain Protection Act. The bill was recently reported out
of House Natural Resources committee and could come to the House floor soon for a
vote.

They would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with Representative Ocasio-Cortez
to share their stories and discuss how best to partner in the fight ahead to protect the
Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Please let me know if there is any
availability for this conversation and I am happy to help schedule.

who would be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
