Once again, the National Irrigation Administration-Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-
MARIIS) raised its flag during the 56th year Anniversary of National Irrigation Administration this 2019.
NIA-MARIIS was honoured with the awards INTEGRATED IRRIGATION SYSTEMS OFFICE OF THE YEAR
(CY 2018), NIA-MARIIS Division II as DIVISION OFFICE OF THE YEAR (CY 2018), and REGTA IA as 3rd
Runner-up in the Search for Outstanding IA-National Irrigation Category.

As the Agency celebrates its 56 years of existence, it recognizes the outstanding performance,
significant accomplishments and dedication to exceptional customer service contributing to the
attainment of the Agency’s strategic themes of Technical and Operational Excellence and Good
Governance not only of its Offices nationwide, but also the employees and Irrigators’ Associations.

No less than Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei B. Nograles had graced the Awarding Ceremony, together
with the Top Management of NIA, headed by its Administrator Ricardo R. Visaya, BGen Abraham B.
Bagasin (Ret), Senior Deputy Administrator, MGen Romeo G. Gan (Ret), Deputy Administrator for
Administrative and Finance, Engr. C’zar M. Sulaik, Deputy Administrator for Engineering and
Operations.
