• Size 12 beading needle

1. String 6 seed beads. Leaving a tail long enough to weave in later, go

back through the first seed bead strung to form a small circle.

2. Pick up a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl, a seed bead and a bicone. Go around
and back through the seed bead you just exited.

3. Go forward through the next seed bead on the circle.

4. Pick up a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and a seed bead. Go around and back
through the bicone you added in the previous step and then go through the seed
bead you just exited.

5. Go forward through the next seed bead on the circle.

6. Pick up a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and a seed bead. Go around and back
through the bicone you added in the previous step and then go through the seed

8. Pick up a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and a seed bead. Go around and back
through the bicone you added in the previous step and then go through the seed
bead you just exited.

9. Go forward through the next seed bead on the circle.

10. Pick up a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and a seed bead. Go around and
back through the bicone you added in the previous step and then go through the
seed bead you just exited.

11. Go forward through the next seed bead and then up through the bicone at
the beginning of the ring of beads.

12. Pick up a seed bead, a pearl and a seed bead. Go down through the bicone
added in step #10 and then through the seed bead on the inner circle and up
through the bicone you just exited.

13. Go through the next seed bead and pearl

you come to going counterclockwise around
the edge of the motif.

14. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone, a seed

bead and pearl and 2 seed beads. Go around
and back through the pearl you just exited.

15. Proceed through the seed bead, the bicone,

the seed bead and the pearl.

16. Pick up 2 seed beads, a pearl, a seed bead, a

bicone and a seed bead. Go around and back
through the pearl you just exited.

17. Proceed through the 2 seed beads and the pearl.

18. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and

2 seed beads. Go around and back through the pearl you
just exited.

19. Proceed around through the seed bead, the bicone, seed bead and pearl.

20. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone, a seed bead, a

bicone, a seed bead, a bicone and a seed bead. Go
around and back through the pearl you just exited.

21. Go on through the seed bead, the bicone, seed bead

and bicone.

22. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone, a seed bead, a bicone, a seed bead, a bicone
and a seed bead. Go around and back through the bicone you just exited.
NOTE: The red dot in the photo indicates the very center bottom bead
of the earring. You will now add a dangle or drop bead from that bead
and then begin working your way up the second side of the earring.

23. Continue around through the seed bead, the bicone and the seed
bead. To add a seed bead picot like on the earrings in the photo on
the first page, go to the last page then skip to Step 26 after adding the
picot.

24. To add a dangle, pick up a seed bead, a pearl, a seed bead, a bicone and a seed bead. Slide
these beads up close to your work.

25. Skipping the last seed bead you

added, insert your needle back through
the bicone, the seed bead and the
pearl. Pick up a seed bead then go
back through the bottom center seed
bead (the one indicated by the red dot). Pull the dangle
beads up snug to your work.

26. Now you will start the second side of the earring. Weave
through the next bicone, seed bead and bicone. At this point I
find it easier to flip the work around and go up the right side of
the earring rather than the left
side.

27. Pick up a seed bead, a

bicone, a seed bead, a pearl, a seed bead, a bicone and a seed
bead. Go around and back through the bicone you just exited.

28. Continue around through the seed bead, the bicone, the seed
bead and the pearl.

29. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone, a seed bead, a pearl and 2

seed beads. Go around and back through the pearl you just
exited.

30. Continue around through the seed bead, the bicone, the
seed bead and the pearl.

31. Pick up 2 seed beads, a pearl, a seed bead, a bicone and a seed bead. Go
around and back through the pearl you just exited.

32. Continue around through the 2 seed beads and the pearl.
33. Pick up a seed bead, a bicone and a seed
bead. Go around through the pearl that's in the
4 o'clock position on the top circle of beads as
indicated by the red dot.

34. Pick up 2 seed beads and go back through

the pearl from step #32 going
counterclockwise. Reinforce this connection.

35. Re-tracing the thread path, weave your way to the top of the upper
circle of beads. Exit through the seed bead just before the pearl at the
very top of the earring.

36. Pick up 9 seed beads and your earring wire. Skip

over the top pearl and go through the seed bead on
the other side of the pearl.

37. Weave around this seed bead loop and the pearl two
or three times to reinforce it.

38. Weave all the way around the earring re-tracing the thread path to give it more stability. Knot
your thread in a couple of places and cut the thread.

39 Weave in the tail thread, knotting in a couple of places before cutting the thread.

OPTIONAL PICOT DANGLE

Pick up four seed beads then go back around and through the seed bead that you just exited. Go on
through the first seed bead of the picot. Pick up one seed bead and go through the next seed bead.
Repeat this two more times as you go around the picot. Reinforce the picot once or twice then exit
through the center seed bead at the bottom of the earring that you started from.
