Moral Freedom Summer Forsyth County Organizer, May 2014- August ’15
Organized coalition groups that included prominent organizations and the community at
large in Forsyth County, Registered and educated voters on NC Voter ID Bill. Organized and
coordinated events, including a Mass Moral March in Winston-Salem during the NC Voting
Rights Trial. Trained workers and volunteers in grassroots organizing, turf cutting, door
knocking and voter registration.

Northern & Eastern Winston-Salem/Winston Salem State University Field Organizer,

Obtained permits from City & University, coordinated events, recruited & scheduled
volunteers, setup staging locations, registered American political voters of all legal ages and
demographics, organized & coordinated polling transportation.

Chaired political committee, organized fundraising for high school seniors, developed
mentorship program informing and preparing students for their upcoming collegiate
endeavors, and provided scholarships to needy black male teens..
Urban League Young Professionals, 2012- ‘15 –Chair Political/Civic Engagement Committee
Established a committee that registered voters, educated students, young professionals and
community members on voting rights & new voting legislation. Helped form Winston-Salem
United Community Coalition.
Winston-Salem United Community Coalition, 2013- ‘15 –Member/Urban League YP Rep.
Combined efforts with organizations such as the NAACP, Urban League, Democracy NC,
Religious Institutions and other Not-For-Profits with interest in educating, registering and
increasing voter turnout in Winston-Salem, NC. My Committee was responsible for putting
together educational material for the coalition to distribute amongst citizens.
Psi Chi International Honors Society- President/Mr. Psi Chi, 2008-‘11
Created and implemented psychological presentations for meetings. Oversaw inaugural
psychology alumni reception for all psych majors/minors to attend during homecoming.
Developed volunteer efforts to promote activity in local community, recruited qualified
students to join organization, presented all efforts to be published in the national psi chi
magazine.
