Review
Recall the concept on the poem “Moonlight on Manila Bay”

Motivation (FOUR PICS ONE WORD)


a. Post the photos about Manila and the Bay
b. Let students guess the word by looking at the photos
c. Ask students to guess the word

1. WORD PAIR

a. Give the set of words to the class (uncommon words in the text)
b. Let students identify the word and look for its pair
c. Solicit possible words the students could associate with aside from the
choices.

a. Let the students answer the question: “What makes a place an attraction?”
b. Provide a copy of the text
c. Let them create their own question that would stimulate learning and
understanding about the text.

Create a venn diagram that will present your ideas about the three topics. Consider
carefully the overlap that between or among the circles in your diagram. Write your
insights about beauty, history, and Manila Bay in the circles that represent them. (The
model below is just an example.) Participate in a discussion led by your teacher.

6. 5TH DIMENSION: ANALYSIS - HURRAH FOR MANILA BAY!

You have been learning much about Manila Bay. Form a group and use the
descriptions you have in composing a ‘hurrah chant‘ that will promote Manila Bay.
Play with repetitions, rhymes, and spell-outs (e.g. Give me an M-A-N-I-L-A, go
Manila!). Your chant must have at least 2 stanzas with 4-7 lines each depicting the
role of Manila Bay to the society and people. Practice reciting this chant with the
appropriate energy and gestures. You can identify lines that could be chanted as a
group or by selected individuals in the group. Be ready to present your work to the
class.

- Attractions in the place
