ENGRO VOPAK TERMINAL LIMITED KARACHI, PAKISTAN.


Engro Vopak Terminal Ltd port passim Karachi is a state of the Art Bulk liquid Chemicals &
Gaseous Product Storage with 21 tanks having capacity of 82,400 cubic meters.

EVTL have its own fixed “T” type Jetty of 325 m Length, 11.0 m draft Max dead weight of 45000
MT, 10 mooring dolphins with quick release hooks & 6 breasting dolphins with k bollards and
fenders. 1.5 Tons of fixed jib crane. The Kanons counter weighted hydraulic operated marine loading
arm with triple assembly QC/DC and ERC with double ball v/vs. and Proximity switches is used for
Ethylene unloading. Jetty also comprises of two fire fighting pumps with capacity of 750 cubic
meter/hr, two fixed monitors, water shield & 18 cubic meters of spill collection system,

Terminal Facility comprises of spheres, tanker loading bays, Nitrogen distribution network, direct
pipe line transfer to local customer’s network, Intra transfer and weight bridge system at following
facilities to load unload cargo ships, road tankers in safe and efficient manners.

Responsibilities as a Rover Operator (Jetties)
 Commissioning and decommissioning of all units.
 Coordinate and controlling of all aspects of products, tanker loading operations and jetty
operations.
 To Execute, review and ensure pre ship arrival checklists completion as per berth occupancy
schedule.
 Responsible for the safe berthing, mooring and sailing operations of cargo vessels.
 Safe placement of shore and ship gangway and safe operation of shore jib crane.
 To perform shore line up, Leak test, connection, disconnection of cargo hoses and marine
loading arms and pigging operations safely.
 To perform ship loading /unloading operations with vapor recovery system and pressurized
conditions.
 To coordinate & communicate with ship surveyor and laboratory for smooth operations.
 To monitor, control and record the operational parameters of storage facilities and ship
unloading operation and take corrective measures to meet efficient operations.
 To execute safe and smooth operation of export, import and transfer of hazardous products,
loading arms hot gassing and blowing operations.
 Independently responsible for the operation, maintenance intervention and trouble shooting
of the following stationary, rotary & metering equipments.
 To carry out a variety of duties to maintain the efficient and safe operation of various
facilities to ensure receipt, storage and import/export of products are carried out in
accordance with company’s policy & procedures.
 To perform daily, weekly and monthly rotary and stationary equipments systematic checks.
 To execute the permit to work procedure for routine maintenance, project, start up, and
shutdown activities.
 To implement permit to work system inclusive lockout/ tag out and to ensure that all works
are performed in accordance with company's HSE standards and procedures.
 To execute & performing routine, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Safety Checklists,
tests, checks & preventive maintenance jobs on various equipment. (Pump, motors,
compressors & generators).
 To participate in emergency response plan exercise / drills at terminal.
 Safe and effiieciently operation of sprinklers, deluges, fixed and portable monitors, fire
fighting diesel pumps.
 Ensures proper/safe housekeeping after completion of any maintenance job keeping work
area clean, tidy and safe to work.
 Producing various reports pertaining to the activities of the Terminal Operations.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
2005-Graduation, B.Sc (Chem.), Marks 928 (56%) 2nd Division from SALU University
2001-Intermediate F.Sc, (Pre-Eng) Marks 661(61%) 1st Division from BISE Sukkur.
1999-Matriculation, (Science), 1st Division Marks 624(73%) from BISE Sukkur
