Overview
The Aluminum Industry is the second most important metallurgical industry in India.
The Aluminium industry in India is primarily dominated by 3 companies: Hindalco and Vedanta
which are privately owned and Nalco which is a public sector undertaking.

Hindalco Industries Limited, metals Flagship Company of the Aditya Birla Group, is the industry
leader in aluminum and copper. Hindalco is the world’s largest aluminum rolling company and
one of Asia’s biggest producers of primary aluminum.

Freshwrapp and Superwrap are brands from the Consumer Products Division of Hindalco
Industries Ltd. Consumer Products Division (CPD) is a part of the Foil and Packaging business
of Hindalco Industries Ltd. By offering a healthy and hygienic alternative to traditional food-
packaging methods, it has transformed Freshwrapp into a power brand in the aluminum foil
category.

Methodologies
The methodologies used in the project revolve around primary and secondary data collection via
published reports and survey (exploratory research). For primary data we are going to conduct a
survey using Google Forms to understand the consumer review and determine the product’s
demand. For collecting the secondary data we’ll use the official websites of Hindalco Industries
Ltd. And Hindalco’s Freshwrapp. We will also gather data from the company’s annual reports to
ascertain it’s financial status. For additional data we will use other websites like
www.capitalline.com , www.moneycontrol.com , etc.

Epilogue
This research is an attempt at understanding the Retail Market Scenario of Aluminium Foil
Industry in India. We’ll get an insight about the distribution channel of the industry, factors that
have led to the presence of strong brands like Freshwrapp™ and the likes in the Kitchen Foil
sector. It also includes a detailed study of the impact of Advertising & Sales promotion on Direct
Sale and Brand Awareness in the said product category. How their product is different from
competitor’s product.
