Schedule of work for roof repair

Check for cracks on roof sheets,
damaged ridges, valley gutters,
R -1 Inspection of the dome roof above the alter
check for shortage of ‘J’ bolts and
washers and repair accordingly.
Check for rotted timber members
of the ceiling frame system and
replace same where necessary,
R-2 Checking frame system of the ceiling above the alter
complete with application of wood
preservatives, re-fixing back the
ceiling panels etc.
Check for cracked roofing sheets,
ridges, valley gutters, ‘J’ bolts and
R-3 Inspections of the rest of the roof area
washers and effect repairs to
them.
Inspect, replace all rotted and
damaged 4”x 2” Palmyra rafters
where ever necessary (As per the
instructions already given),
R-4 Repairs to the exciting timber roof structure
application of 02 coats wood
preservatives after thoroughly
cleaning surface on the entire
roof timber structure
Introduction of a galvanised iron
flashing system (As per the given
R-5 Flashing system details) on all surfaces where
ever the roof meets the wall fixed
firmly on to the wall.
Repairs to be executed to the
existing valance and barch
boards with all necessary
modifications to receive the GI
R-6 Repairs to the existing valance and barch boards
Gutter system complete with
application of 02 coats od AL
primer and 02 coats of enamel
paints of an approved colour.
Fixing of the GI gutter system
firmly fixed on to the valance
R-7 Fixing of the GI Gutter system board using steel bracket system
(Painted with 02 coats of anti-
corrosive) at 2’0” CC
Fixing the GI down pipe system
firmly on to the wall using Steel
R-8 Fixing of GI down piping bracket system (Painted with 02
coats of anti-corrosive) at 2’0” CC
and hanging SS chains.
