IV. Procedures
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
A representative from each group will share their learning from the previous
discussion.
B. Establishing a purpose for the new lesson
Show pictures depicting before and after appearances. The teacher will then
ask about the common features of each set of picture.

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson
 Present a short video presentation about Pluto being excluded from the
solar system and relate the video as one of the updates in the solar
system.
Guide questions:
1. How many planets does the solar system have before?
2. How many planets does the solar system have today?
3. Why is Pluto no longer a member of the solar system?
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills # 1
 Jigsaw pieces are given from each group revealing different updates
about the solar system. After the puzzle is formed, the group will
match the picture from the description provided on the board. A
representative from each group will then discuss the picture assigned
to them.
 After all of the groups presented their work, the teacher will ask:
o Give one reason for supporting the continuous study about the
updates in the solar system.

G. Finding practical application of concepts and skills in daily living
 As a student, why is it important to be updated in the different events
happening in the surrounding? Cite an example.
