NCERT has conducted National T alent Search Examination (NT SE)
2019 stage II exam on June 16, 2019. NT SE 2019 was held in of f line
mode i.e. Pen-Paper mode f or both levels i.e. State level examination
(T ier I) and National level examination (T ier II). T he scholarship exam
by NCERT comprises two papers i.e. Mental Ability T est (MAT ) and
Scholastic Aptitude T est (SAT ). Both MAT and SAT papers of NT SE
2019 is conducted on the same day but, in two dif f erent shif ts i.e.
Morning shif t f rom 9:30 am to 11:30 am f or MAT and Evening shif t
f rom 01:30 pm to 03:30 pm f or SAT paper. T he exams are conducted
at allotted exam centres only as listed by states/UT s f or state level
exam and NCERT f or NT SE 2019 Stage II exam. T he candidates have
to appear f or the exam with their valid admit card as issued by the
exam conducting authority. T he NT SE 2019 syllabus level is of Class
9th and Class 10th only. T here is no syllabus separately prescribed f or
NT SE 2019 state level or national level examination. T he dif f iculty
level of NT SE papers is of moderate level.

will be of candidates’ choice f rom the language options provided by
the exam conducting body f or State level examination. For the state
level, the test medium can be the of f icial regional language and
English/Hindi. For NT SE national level examination, the test medium
can be f rom Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada,
Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, T amil, T elugu and Urdu as selected
by the candidate at the time of application f orm submission.

T otal exam duration – 120 minutes f or all candidates except visually


challenged candidates who are provided 150 minutes f or all papers.

Questions type – All the papers of NT SE state level and national


level exams are based on objective type question with multiple
choices.
