UNIVERSITY OF THE CORDILLERAS

INQUIRIES

NAME: Royce Christian C. Quinto

SECTION: ICT-E

A. Introduction
The barangay where I conducted my research was a nice and peaceful
barangay. Residents are nice and approachable, the streets are clean. I
observe that most residents doesn’t go outside their houses, but those who
were outside offered some help to me. Luckily there are no incidents that
happened while conducting the research. I also observed that
transportation going to the barangay is quite difficult because the drivers
always wait for the jeep to be full and also the basketball court is used as
a parking lot but that’s the only thing I didn’t like about the barangay.

B. Insights
Upon arriving, the place is very quite and people were very kind to ask me
what was I doing there. While conducting the research other residents
helped me and ask their friends if they wanted to answer the survey which
made my job easier. There are a lot of sari sari store which is nice because
every time I wanted to buy snacks there is always a nearby store and
that’s what I like. Then while strolling through the barangay I noticed that
the basketball court was being occupied by a lot of vehicle which hinders
the children’s desire to play, also the barangay hall is hidden which you
may not be able to find easily if you’re not a resident there, besides that
the barangay was very nice with kind residents, clean and quite streets,
and approachable barangay personnel.

C. Implications
While in the barangay, I realized the importance of helping each other in
the barangay, which gave me the idea to help others that is in need I saw
how the residents bond with each other by helping one another This
activity affected my way of thinking on how to go through my everyday
life, it also taught me the importance of a clean environment which I can
share with others, if there’s a chance, I’ll be conducting a clean and
green in our barangay for the safety of the resident and the betterment of
the community
