Sanlakbay Program – Sto. Nino Parish, Pandacan

REFLECTION PAPER

Today’s Sanlakbay Program taught me a lot of things regarding my faith and spirituality.
It also prepared me for the upcoming Holy week on how I’m going to celebrate it with my
family. The speaker for today is a brother from Sanlakbay, it was unfortunate that I forgot his
name but nonetheless, he taught the participants the proper way to confess their wrongdoings.
The module for this session is about confession. The participants were taught and encouraged to
confess their sins in order to cleanse themselves out of their impurities and to anticipate the
approaching Holy Week. There are more participants this time because a batch from another
place joined them but before they joined the older participants, they were briefed first. The
speaker taught different things like the
proper way to do the Sign of the Cross, to
pray the rosary, the specifics of the Ten
Commandments and so on. The participants
were very participative that most of them
confessed at the church with father while
some didn’t. At the end of the session and
after they confessed, the participants were
very excited and looking forward for the
sport fest. The program finished with the
singing of “Salamat.”
