Woman arrested for posting nude photos of minor

Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman for allegedly posting nude photos of a minor
on social media. According to Police Col. Alejandrea Silvio, chief of the women and
children unit of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the 16-year-old victim came to them to
file a complaint against the suspect. Silvio said the suspect demanded the minor to
unblock her number from the cellphone and to meet with her. The complainant said their
relationship started when she was 11 years old. They neighbors and developed an
intimate relationship that went on for 5 years. When the minor wanted to end it, the
suspect refused and began threatening her. The suspect created numerous Instagram
accounts and posted nude photos of the minor on social media.
The suspect will be charged with violations of the Child Abuse Law, Anti Rape Law, Anti-
Child Pornography Act, Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, grave threat and
grave coercion.

5-year-old girl rescued from neighbors 'selling her online' in Taguig

The Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division of the Philippine National Police Women and
Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) rescued a five-year-old girl who was allegedly
sold by her neighbor in an online porn website and chatroom in Barangay Tuktukan,
Taguig City. Police Colonel Sheila Portento, chief of the Anti Trafficking in Persons Division
of PNP-WCPC, said the UK National Crime Agency and Norwegian Police gave them the
information and they coordinated with them for two years. PNP-WCPC operatives
arrested two suspects identified as Melchor Santos and Ana Maria Laguilles. Portento
said the victim’s mother worked during day and did not know her daughter’s
whereabouts.
The suspects will be charged with violations of Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 (RA
9208), Cybercrime Prevention Act (RA 10175) and Child Abuse Law (RA 7610).
