Be an animal detective

Go for a walk in your neighbourhood and make a chart listing

5-10 different places (park, shops, wood, garden, road).
Can you see evidence of animals, birds or insects that live there? What
might they eat? Where might they live?

What do you think might live here?

How do you know?

What evidence can we find to show us?

Good detectives will look closely at leaves to see what has been
nibbling at them! You might need to use your nose to see if you
can find animal droppings. Sadly you might even find animal
remains and will need to decide which animal ate another one.
