1 Excerpts from the Minutes of meeting of this office held on March 5, 2018 at
2 exactly 8:25 o’clock in the morning at Daraga Fire Station, Dona Maria Subdivision,
3 Daraga, Albay by Municipal Fire Marshal, SINSP JERICKSON P MIRAFLOR as
4 Presiding Officer.

34 B. CALL TO ORDER
35 The conference was called to order at exactly 8:25 o’clock in the morning on
36 March 5, 2018, Monday by Municipal Fire Marshal, SINSP JERICKSON P MIRAFLOR.
37 The meeting started with an opening prayer led by FO1 Roberette John T Santelices.

38 C. Minutes

39 SFO4 Jose Joejie E Moralde was designated as the speaker of the day. He said
40 “It is wonderful when people believe in their leader but it is also wonderful when the
41 leader believes in his people. If a leader begins to believe in his people it is only a
42 matter of time before both occur. The fundamental step a leader must take is to believe
43 in his people and communicate it to them. Don’t ever settle for merely impressing them”.
44 He then reported his concern regarding the missing items of personnel of this
45 station. FO1 Kenn R Pantoja lost his under armor sweatshirt while FO3 Audie D Alorro
46 mislaid his Upper Delta Uniform and a transistor radio is missing too. MFM suggested
47 discussing the problem later on the conference.
48 The Presiding Officer deliberated about the pending business and contents of the
49 minutes of the previous meeting. He further instructed Admin Clerk, FO2 Kristine J
50 Madridano to publish the minutes of meeting in writing as soon as possible for posting
51 and alteration.
52 SFO1 Ronald L Moral provided an update about the preparation for the
53 upcoming poster making, drawing and essay writing contest. MFM directed SFO3
54 Roque C Bejer to document the aforementioned activity. He also instructed FO2
55 Reyleen P Mandal to bring the laptop at the venue.
56 Another agenda in the conference was the importance of attendance during
57 activities. Moreover, Municipal Fire Marshal reminded all personnel to instill discipline,
58 observe courtesy and politeness at all times.
59 He likewise reiterated that during office hours no motorcycle will be parked inside
60 the fire station to make the office more conducive for the clients. After five o’clock in the
61 afternoon, motorcycles are permitted to park inside the building of this station.
62 Presiding Officer required that a designated smoking area shall be established in
63 this office intended for personnel who smoke tobacco.
64 He as well recapped the forthcoming Annual General Inspection which was again
65 postponed and move to April 11 to 12, 2018. All personnel were reminded of the
66 prescribed uniform to wear during the inspection.
67 Athletic Day was once again restated to be conducted every Tuesday and
68 Thursday. All are advised to observe the recommended athletic uniform. All duty
69 personnel from the substation shall proceed to this office, as instructed by MFM they
70 shall bring the Engine 2 Anos firetruck. Augment personnel will be left in the substation.
71 Nonetheless, FO2 Mary Joy P Florano and FO2 Mabel C Amaranto are exempted for
72 the activity.
73 The Bike for a Cause activity in line with the Fire prevention Month was
74 scheduled on March 11, 2018. All bike enthusiasts’ personnel of this office were
75 reminded of the activity.
76 In addition, MFM instructed FO2 Felam M Jacob to add in the official facebook
77 account of this station the BFP R5 PIS, MDRRMC, LGU-Daraga and the OPFM-Albay
78 then further tag them in all the activities conducted by this office. He also mentioned that
79 this is one way we could request for support and also for them to see the
80 accomplishments done by this station.
81 F/SINSP JERICKSON P MIRAFLOR directed FO1 Kenn R Pantoja to proceed to
82 the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) to attend and join in the conduct of
83 Annual Inspection of Establishment led by the Local Government Unit of Daraga.
84 MFM mentioned about loafing during office hours. He similarly cautioned FO1
85 Henry C Magnata Jr and FO1 Kervin Ray S Ante, firetruck drivers regarding their
86 whereabouts during duty hours. He repeated that duty personnel are prohibited from
87 spending time outside the office doing unauthorized and non-work related activities
88 especially duty drivers. Moreover, no duty personnel are ought to be outside the office
89 wearing civilian clothes.
90 SFO3 Roque C Bejer stated about the approved list of scheduled TI&E speakers
91 including the invocators every Monday conference. He cited that the arrangement for
92 the speakers and invocators are based on seniority.
93 It was observed by MFM that this office has only one source of water supply in
94 replenishing water in the firetrucks. He declared that he already coordinated with the
95 Daraga Water District to have a memorandum of understanding to utilized all the
96 available blow-offs of Daraga as sources of water supply. He said “This will also cut the
97 cost of operations due to the travel time going back and forth”.
98 MFM directed the Chief Logistics & Supply, FO2 Reyleen P Mandal to handle the
99 processing of the occupancy permit of this office.
100 For the Fire Safety Enforcement Section, MFM instructed FO1 Hazel L Pineda
101 and FO1 Dan Karlo D Cadag to assist FO3 Kenneth V Nieva in data encoding.
102 With regards to the missing items, MFM stated that if there is an excess amount
103 in the support budget a CCTV camera will be installed in the station/office to prevent
104 any occurrence similar for that matter as well as for security purposes of this station.
105 D. ADJOURNMENT
106 With no other matters to discuss, the meeting adjourned at exactly 9:00 o’clock in
107 the morning.
