RE TASK COURSE – Assignment 1

SFR
Single Family Residential
Also known as single family
detached, this means the home is a
stand-alone structure with its own
lot intended for one family. Single
family residences differ from
condominiums, townhomes,
cooperatives, and multi-family
homes, which are all attached
residences.

MOBILE HOME
Mobile homes (also called trailers)
are generally placed in one location
for permanent living. They come in
two standard sizes: singlewide
(typically 18 feet wide or less and 90
feet long or less) and doublewide
(typically 20 feet wide and 90 feet
long or less).

SINGLE WIDE
A single-wide manufactured home
is typically about 15 feet wide and
up to 90 feet long. These homes are
typically easier to transport and can
fit on a single semi-trailer, making
them more affordable to relocate.

DOUBLE WIDE
The term "double-wide" refers to a
mobile home that is constructed of
two sections, each the width of a
single-wide mobile home. A
double-wide home offers greater
variety and flexibility in floor plans
and enhanced living space.
Doublewide homes have a width of
20 feet or more and their length is
90 feet or less.

MULTI FAMILY
Multi-family homes are the least
common type of residential
building. They are essentially a
home that has been turned into two
or more units. They can be
rowhouse-style or have multiple
floors, and range in size from a
duplex to a four-plex. Some multi-
family homes have a separate
entrance for each unit, while some
share a main entrance. The
distinction between multi-family
units and condos is that the units
can’t be purchased individually;
there’s one owner for the whole
building.
